Privacy policy
Your work stays yours. This page explains what information the Checkpoint website handles today and how the iPhone app is designed to handle it when released.
Last updated: 24 October 2026
Checkpoint is in development. The app practices described below reflect the current plan and will be updated before public release if implementation changes.
1. Who is responsible
Yesser Benamara is responsible for the Checkpoint website and, when released, the Checkpoint app. For privacy questions or requests, email Bnamarayesser@gmail.com.
2. What this covers
This policy covers the Checkpoint website and the planned iPhone app. It does not cover Apple’s own services or other websites that may be linked from Checkpoint. Those services have their own privacy notices.
3. Website information
The current website does not ask you to create an account, submit a form, or provide checkpoint content. It does not currently use analytics or advertising trackers. The website host may process basic connection information, such as an IP address, browser details, requested page, and request time, to deliver and protect the site.
If analytics or other tracking is added, this policy will be updated before it is enabled, including the provider and the information it collects.
4. Information the app is designed to handle
Checkpoint is designed to help you save a task, where you stopped, and what you plan to do next. The app may handle the words you type, the text produced from a voice recording, task details, and reminder settings.
- Voice: speech-to-text is planned to run on your iPhone. The original audio is planned to be deleted after transcription; the resulting text can be saved as checkpoint content.
- AI organization: optional organization is planned to run on-device. Checkpoint is not designed to send your voice or checkpoint text to an external AI or speech service.
- iCloud sync: saved checkpoint text is planned to sync through your private iCloud account to your Apple devices. Yesser Benamara does not operate a server that stores or gives him access to your checkpoint content.
- Reminders: return reminders are planned as local notifications scheduled on your iPhone.
These are planned practices, not a description of an already released app. The final release and this policy must match.
5. Apple services
If you use Sign in with Apple, Apple handles the authentication. Checkpoint does not receive or store your Apple account password on its own server. iCloud sync and Apple’s operating-system features are provided by Apple and are subject to Apple’s own terms and privacy practices. You can review Apple’s Privacy Policy and Apple’s iCloud security information.
Apple may process information in locations and under conditions described in its notices. You control your Apple account, iCloud settings, and device permissions through Apple.
6. Why information is used
App information is used to create, display, organize, sync, and remind you about your own checkpoints. Website connection information may be used by the host to deliver the pages, maintain security, and investigate service problems. Checkpoint does not sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising.
8. Storage and deletion
When the app is released, you will be able to delete a checkpoint in the app. The planned behavior is for that deletion to sync to your private iCloud account and your other devices. Checkpoint does not keep a separate server copy of checkpoint content. Apple’s handling of iCloud data, backups, and deletion is governed by Apple’s own terms and settings.
Because the app is still in development, verify the final deletion behavior in the app before relying on it for your only copy of important work.
9. Your choices and rights
You can control microphone, speech-recognition, notification, Sign in with Apple, and iCloud access through the app and your Apple device settings. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information. Contact Bnamarayesser@gmail.com and describe your request. For checkpoint content stored in iCloud, use the app and Apple account controls as the primary way to manage or delete it.
10. Children
Checkpoint is a general productivity tool and is not designed for children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to the website or app, contact us so we can review the request.
11. Changes to this policy
This policy may change as the website and app develop. The latest version will be posted on this page with an updated date. Material changes to app data practices will be reflected before those practices begin.
